I have to start with an apology: the Apple I refer to in the title is nothing to do with the Big Apple, I just can’t seem to change the background image! No, the name arose because I was ranting at my sister at the irony of the old maxim, “An apple a day keeps the doctor away.” This then led on beautifully to providing a loose structure to hold my thoughts together.
